The aim of Order ITC/734/2010, of 26 March 2010, was to call the participants in the electricity system, participants in the gas system, Autonomous Communities and developers of new electricity generation projects to make proposals for the development of the electricity transmission network and the natural gas transmission network, and to provide the information needed for the aforementioned planning process.
Along that proposal recepcion three months period, the Technical Manager of the Gas System has held meetings with all traders and all those Autonomous Communities which have requested the meeting, in order to collect their needs. Likewise, on April 27th 2010, an informative meeting was held jointly with other TSO's, distributors, and members of Energy Planning and Monitoring Subdirection of Industry, Tourism and Trade Ministry.
The design criteria were set by the Ministry on a proposal from the Technical Manager of the System (TMS). Defining these criteria is essential for the scale of the system, as they are then used to draw up the proposal.
The design criteria have been gradually modified in each planning process, adapting them to the maturity of the gas system.
On 28 December 2010, the TMS submitted the first Proposed 2012-2020 Planning Schedule to the Department of Energy Planning and Monitoring for approval.
In August 2011, the 2012-2020 Planning Schedule for the electricity and gas sectors and the associated Environmental Sustainability Report were published on the website of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade. To consult, click here.
