Initially, this plant will have 300,000 m3 of LNG storage space available, split between two tanks of 150,000 m3 each, as well as possessing an emissions capacity of 800,000 m3/h. The facility will also feature a berth designed for future methane tankers of up to 266,000 m3 of LNG.
The plant has been designed to allow for future extension, with the addition of two further storage tanks with the same capacity and an increase in emissions capacity to a total of 1,200,000 m3/h.
The gas will be piped to the basic gas pipeline network via a link between Musel and Llanera, where it will connect to the three existing gas pipelines, originating in Galicia, León and Cantabria.
The project is complying with the deadlines of the established plan. During the 2011 1S, the hoisting from the domes of both tanks of storage was successfully completed, and the construction phase finished at the end of 2012.
